The PaintAmerica Top100 is an open national artists’ competition to help fund the PaintAmerica Student Scholarship fund and our mission of actively supporting and promoting the visual arts through education, networking and advocacy. The 2008 PaintAmerica Top100 Competition will begin soon, click on the Competition Schedule button at left for full details.

The PaintAmerica Top100 is an annual juried competition and exhibition designed to illustrate American life. Representative art should depict the beauty and grandeur of American nature, landscape, seascape, cityscape, etc. Paintings may also represent lifestyle scenes from America. Artists from anywhere in the world may enter, but their paintings must depict any of the 50 states. All entries begin the juried competition representing a state. The top scoring paintings attain the honor of being recognized as part of the Top 100 in the nation. With this honor comes national exposure, through an online and touring exhibition, as well as the opportunity to become the overall national winner. The competition’s overall winner claims a $7,500 Grand Prize Purchase Award. The Top50Mini Competition winner earns a $2,500 Grand Prize Purchase Award. Other artists in the Top100 competition also have an excellent chance to receive additional cash awards and terrific sales opportunities nationwide, making it one of the richest art competitions in America.
