PaintAmerica
PaintAmerica is a non-profit association, devoted to providing opportunities for artists all across America. Our mission is to actively support and promote the visual arts through education, networking and advocacy. Our programs build networks within the arts arena, connecting artists, galleries, exhibitors, patrons, sponsors, state and federal organizations and other funding groups for the betterment of the arts as a whole. And, our goals include funding for youth arts education, working with established artists to be mentors and clinicians for young and emerging artists, and acting as a clearinghouse for arts related grants and funding opportunities.
Primary vehicles for accomplishing these goals are the two annual PaintAmerica Art Competitions. After the recent announcement that the Arts for the Parks competition was ceasing operation, we received many letters, calls and emails urging us to create a competition that would continue that tradition. We’re excited to announce the “Paint the Parks” competition, with entry timeframe of February thru May, 2007 and a $10,000 Grand Prize. PaintAmerica’s “Paint the Parks” has been created to fill the void, and continue the familiar tradition of Arts for the Parks.
Of course, the PaintAmerica Top100 competition continues to provide a top-notch, national venue for the very best established artists in the country, as well as an opportunity for emerging regional artists to showcase their talent at the state and national level. The innovative format of the competition encourages and rewards artists with recognition and potential sales of their work. Showcasing the beauty and qualities of every state in America as seen through the eyes of its artists is an additional benefit of the program.
In its inaugural year, the PaintAmerica Top100 quickly became one of the nation’s leading national artists competitions, with a $5,000 Grand Prize Purchase Award, additional cash prizes and purchase awards, sponsorships, and professional promotion and publicity giving our artist national recognition for their talents.
PaintAmerica Signature Society And Masters Designations
The PaintAmerica Society Signature and Master Circles have been created to honor those artists whose work has been recognized for its excellence in PaintAmerica’s National Exhibitions and Competitions. Artists attaining this designation have supported PaintAmerica and its mission, and their art is worthy of this important distinction.
Upon attaining such designation, the title PAA Signature Circle Member or PAA Master Circle Member may be used in your credentials on websites, brochures, magazine articles and other printed forms. Each recipient of the Signature award will receive a plaque bearing the Signature designation information with their name and year they received the Signature honor. In addition, Master Circle members will receive a gold medallion with their name & year they received the honor engraved on the back. Each PAA Signature and Master Circle member will be listed on the PaintAmerica website and other organization materials.
Rules for Obtaining PAA Signature or Master Society Designations
The PaintAmerica Top100 and “Paint the Parks” both qualify as a national competition for many national societies and academies. At your request, and upon qualifying, PaintAmerica will gladly document your participation to any organization or society for which you may be working toward a status level.
